Raising Riders is a new short film that tells 10-year-old Koby Clark’s story of riding the notoriously challenging Baja Divide bikepacking route, and growing into his own from a passenger to a partner as he pedaled along. Watch it here…

A couple weeks back, we published “Raising Riders: From Passengers to Partners on the Baja Divide,” Dan Clark’s story of watching his children grow up and grow into their own as riders as they pedaled through Baja California. Today, we’re happy to share the companion film by the same name.

This 15-minute film focuses on Koby, the Clarks’ 10-year-old son, who rode the majority of the Baja Divide under his own power, cleanly riding tough sections where the rest of his family pushed their bikes. In it, he tells the story of his ride and hints at some of the sticky situations he encountered along this challenging 1,700-mile route. The film also showcases the innocence of youth and the richness of the experience while bikepacking in a foreign country as a family.
