Building on more than five years of customer feedback, Tarptent has updated the 2019 Moment DW to include better ventilation, added stability in the wind, and much more. Read on for the official press release…
“Tarptent’s game-changing Moment DW has been redesigned for 2019, packing in a wealth of new features that are based on real customer feedback. Enhancements include a much lower fly edge, two-way opening water-resistant #5 zippers over each vestibule for increased protection and venting, re-engineered arch geometry and fly patterns for superior wind stability, simplified PitchLoc ends, additional pull-outs along the arch pole sleeve, and a smaller footprint. A stiffer 9mm arch pole is now standard, and both fly and floor are fully 3,000 mm HH pressure rated. The optional crossing pole, for freestanding and/or snowloading capability, now offers stable three-point contact at each end.”
In addition to these modernized features, the Moment DW’s end struts are also now easier to remove, which will make packing the shelter much easier. All of these features create a thoughtful and sturdy shelter that is sure to appeal to expedition-style bikepackers seeking remote and potentially harsh conditions all year long.
Total weight is listed at 970g (34 oz) with a hybrid carbon pole, offered in a pack size of 18″ x 4″ (46cm x 10cm) and has an interior height of 39″ (99cm).
