Here’s a quick look at a working prototype of Porcelain Rocket’s new modular pannier concept. No name yet, sorry! According to Porcelain Rocket, they are really close to a production design, but won’t be able to build production-ready samples until they’ve invested in tooling for the HDPE backing plate. Here are more photos and specs:

  • Modular design with RF-welded removable dry bag
  • Will work with any rack with an accessible horizontal bar, front or rear
  • Max volume ~13L per pannier (loaded to ~11L in the photos)
  • Ultra-secure, rattle-free Voile strap mounting system
  • The prototypes are less than 450g/16oz each, including holster/mounting straps/dry bag
