The 45NRTH Hüsker Dü is a favorite amongst expedition fatbike-bikepackers for it’s fast-rolling tread. Now it’s gotten even bigger. Introducing the 45NRTH Hüsker Dü 4.8.

Earlier this year Minnesota based 45NRTH tweaked their popular Hüsker Dü tire to add meatier side lugs for better cornering. And now they released an new version of the tire which is quite a bit bigger, ideal for snow, sand, and soft backcountry pursuits. While the original 4″ Hüsker Dü has gained a bit of acclaim amongst expedition fat bikers for its shallow and fat-rolling center tread, the larger 4.8″ version carries this forward and adds even more flotation to the platform. According to 45Nrth, an overall reduced lug count combined with a tubeless-ready bead make the 4.8″ Hüsker Dü a great option for winter fat bike adventure. Winter ultra-racing perhaps?
