For students ages 13-16 with an interest in pushing limits and flying over handlebars on a self-propelled exploration off the beaten track. This unique adventure links together many of the wonders of the Green Mountains. After two days of conditioning on local trails and preparing for our expedition, we will begin a 10-day journey northwest across the Green Mountains by mountain bike.

Along the way, we will pick berries, jump in refreshing swimming holes, scramble up cliff faces, and share nourishing meals cooked over the fire. We will also face many challenges: ferrying our bikes across the river in a canoe, helping neighbors with a service project, and testing our navigation skills as we wind our way from one forest road to the next.

Finally, we will reach a spectacular underground cave which will test our bravery, skills, and teamwork, inspiring a sense of wonder and awe for the world. This expedition is a combination of muddy single and double track trails through the steep mountains with a light to moderate load, as there will be regular food resupplies. Are you ready for what this journey has to offer?
