Adventure Bike Camp “Desert and Ocean”

In 2013, I (Michael Wacker) did my first bike tour across the US. I spent three months travelling and cycling 12,000 kilometers.

The place I enjojed the most was the area around California, Nevada and Arizona. I was riding my bike to places where people weren’t expecting to see a cyclist. While interacting with them, I received comments such as “it’s amazing but I could never do that” or “it’s so inspiring but I wouldn’t even know where nor how to start”.

With our soft supported road trip camps, we want to help these dreamers to become doers. We want to help you realize your desire for adventures, which is why we are introducing this once-in-a-lifetime tour for you.

The Desert and Ocean Camp is planned as a road trip to allow you to experience a new adventure at the dawn of every day.

What fascinated me the most during my trip and made it even more special was the sweeping differences of landscape and scenery that I came across.

From the starting point in colourful Venice Beach to Death Valley, one of the most monotonous regions of the world just a few days later, only to then go from the remoteness to bustling Las Vegas, a crazy place like no other that everyone has to visit at least once.

Maybe you’ll like it. Maybe you won’t.

But one thing’s for sure: After we leave Las Vegas you will enjoy the remoteness of the second half of the tour even more.
