The California Sierra Trail Race provides riders with a brutal challenge and even more incredible rewards. The route utilizes state park trails, forest service dirt and paved roads, historic 19th-century mining trails, and over 100 miles of California’s best singletrack. From Auburn, CA the route winds its way slowly up the foothills before dropping down into Lake Tahoe. It then follows the world famous Tahoe Rim Trail around the lake before making its way back down towards Auburn.

From the site: THIS IS HARD AND DANGEROUS STUFF. YOU AND YOU ALONE ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR SAFETY. PLEASE BE PREPARED WITH THE PROPER GEAR AND ESSENTIALS BEFORE TAKING ON THE CHALLENGE.
